This entry is something you would definitely not expect to see among Downtuned's Suggestions but hey, it's summer and some experimentation is always good 😏 This is the kind of release which despite its urban style it could perfectly acompany you while drinking something cold in the shade of tree during a hot summer day or finishing the last beers as the sun goes down chilling things out. Blending several different genres but always filtering them through the electronic prism Speedhack make an interesting suggestion for fans of experimental music.
Speedhack is the new music project resulting from the partnership between Theodore Karabatakis (Headshell) and Vasilis Kesalidis (Spinnet).
The two friends and music producers initiated their collaboration back in 2015, by investigating the intersection of their musical influences, one track at a time. Four years later, the results of those efforts amount to their debut, self-titled LP, a distillate of post-rock, blues, surf, downtempo and other electronic elements.
Headshell & Spinnet join forces for an adventure in sound... Post-rock ~ surf ~ blues meet electronica with drum & bass and downtempo grooves in this one-of-a-kind sonic experiment!
