Instant Boner - Chasing Fire (new single)

Instant Boner from Thessaloniki, Greece just released their brand new single "Chasing Fire" which is already available for you to listen through their bandcamp page.

The inspiration for the lyrics was drawn from the fires that for another summer burned down a significant portion of Greece's remaining forests.

Releasing a single is liberating in a sense since we don't care about making a cohesive sonic narrative for an album! This song felt on its own musically, lyrically Marianthi got inspired by the constant and avoidable fires in Greece....

Instant Boner from Greece announced they will be releasing their first full length album 'High Place Phenomenon' on 25th September 2020 and have already given in public the single "Inside Your Head" which you can listen below.

The last several months we've been waiting for Instant Boner to release new material with their brand new female-vocalist and finally the time has come!

We already knew that this was going to be a single release but it's better than nothing ;-) and hopefully it is the precursor of a full album...

Instant Boner recently presented their new vocalist "Marianthi" through a lice appearance (read more and listen here).

Earlier today they also made an announcement that made our day.

They are in the process of recording a new single with their new vocalist and they have already finished with recording bass and drums at OTSE Music Studio.

[News] 'Instant Boner' in search of a new vocalist

Instant Boner, the heavy rock/progressive band from Salonica announced that they are in search of a new singer. Not necessarily of the same style as their previous one.

They parted ways with their previous singer a few months ago and the band was inactive for a period of time because both the guitarists of the band had to complete the, mandatory in Greece, military service.

'Abell 35-', Greek releases review (+compilation)

Abell 3565, Abell 3574 and Abell 3521 are three of the most massive galaxy clusters of 'Laniakea Galaxy Supercluster'.

'Abell 35-' is a selection of releases from the Greek heavy underground scene with a duration of less than 35 minutes each. All of them were released during 2016, either on physical or digital form.

Welcome to DT. Tell us a few words about the group, when and where did you get started? How did you meet?

The band consists of five members and the sax man. In 2012 three friends, Paris (drums), Anestis (bass n vox) and Dafy (guitar) started jamming. The whole idea started in 2013 when we met Kostas and after a few line-up changes the band now consists of: Kostas (vocals), Paris (guitar), Dafy (guitar), Anestis (bass), Vaggelis (drums) and Orestis (saxophone).

[Quick Fixes] Instant Boner - Perfect Sunday

   Instant Boner's first 5-track-release is one of the few first-releases that kept my player busy for a considerable amount of time lately (and it still does). Mixing a variety of their influences, those guys, 2 weeks ago (12 April 2014) officially presented to the public their first work which grabbed my attention.

   Formed on September 2013 in Thessaloniki, Greece, "Instant Boner" play an interesting mixure of psychedelic, hard, heavy rock. The vocals vary from a vintage style to a more contemporary heavy style following each track's requirements and giving a special tone and colour each time. Nice played, solid guitar riffs give a euphoric groovy feeling enhanced by the basslines which often come to the foreground with a more funky mood. The production is remarkably good and whatever those guys play is clearly heard, from the more melodic or psychedelic sections to the more groovy and speedy parts.
