Universe217: New Track and Video from the Upcoming Album

Athenian doom outfit Universe217 has just released the first track from their forthcoming record. Staying true to the band’s signature sound, “Wrong” has been a staple of their live sets in recent years, but is now being made available digitally for the first time.

 

The video features the performance “Her White Space”, conceived and art-directed by Fanis Sakellariou, with the participation of Ioni Moschovakou. Cinematography was handled by LocalStage and NaPaN, and the shoot took place at Studio Koukos.

The track was produced by the band themselves, while George Bokos was responsible for mixing and mastering.

Universe217 are scheduled to perform live on Saturday, November 29, at Wail of the Banshees, held at Gazarte Ground Stage in Athens, alongside Allochiria, Church of the Sea, Ninkasi, and Breakeven.

[Vid] KAIJUJU - Death All Over (debut single+video)

Kaijuju is a relatively new heavy quartet from Athens/Greece consisted of members with prior "service" in known bands of the greek punk & hardcore scene. (Alex, bass on Youth Crasher / Orfeas, vocals on Wish Upon a Star).
Their sound is a mix of various influences mainly from metal, death, hardcore and punk, with themselves describing it as "chug rock".

"Death All Over" is their first single/video of several others to come in the near future. Its anti-war lyrics have an obvious inspiration which is directly connected with the current events on the wars taking place at the moment and at the same time they state an obvious message which is as diachronic and timeless as war itself.

The Black Tabasco Project is an indie rock band, formed in Athens around 2018. The group consists of Jorge jr. Cangrejo (vocals, guitar), Kostas Papadakis (drums), Vangelis Emmanouil (guitars) and Kostas Kontonikas (bass).

They introduced themselves in 2019 with the release of three singles - No one Knows Nothing, Echo και Cold Sweat and they released their debut album Bite The Pepper, on the 3rd of Dec. 2021, which includes 8 tracks that balance between dynamic, atmospheric and elegant melodies framed by loud guitar riffs and grooves able to surprise the listener pleasantly.

.."As a big fan of ‘Twin Peaks’ I’ve always had the idea of turning into Laura Palmer and living inside a dark song. In “Black Lodge” you can see many references and symbology of the Lynch’s universe. We try to reflect the anguish but also the seduction undertaken by the characters. Not only the video has been inspired in the TV Series, the lyrics describe some moments and iconic quotes but always through the Laura Palmer’s voice.”
