BUS the unknown secretary - We Are The Night

Greek doom-rock children BUS return with their third and most mature album to date! Having released one of the best albums of the Greek heavy scene during 2016, BUS, starting from Thessaloniki, GR (4/5 Eightball Club) are going to cross the borders for the first time to play alongside "Green Yeti" in Sofia, BG (5/5, Live 'n' Loud club).

Welcome to Downtuned. Tell us a few words about the group, when and where did you get started? How did you meet?
The band was formed in september of 2011, in athens, by : Bill City on guitars / vocals , George Arvanitis on bass guitar, Tassos Kallergis on drums and Jimi.T on guitars. At the beginning we were playing more pure stoner rock, but two years later and after several changes, the composition of the band locked in the current line-up which is: Bill City on guitars and vocals, Chob on bass guitar, Johnnie on guitars and Jimi .T now on his main musical instrument, (the) drums... a big thanks to Evans Drks (guitar), who spent a long time in the band before its final shape.

Which are your musical influences?
Our main influences are Black Sabbath, Mercyful Fate, MC5... generally the 70's and 80's are big influence. Also notable musical influences are modern bands such as Witchcraft, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Kadavar ...and many others.

What’s your lyrics about? What catches your interest?
Stories about people… Legends, Religion… is a big subject, Humanity, Middle-Ages, 20th Century, Literature and last but not least, personal concerns.

Is the communication with the crowd something that you care about, in all levels, or do you do music for yourselves?
Certainly the communication and the public acceptance is quite important, but the most important fact for us is to have fun playing the music we like.

Do you feel like you’re a part of a particular “scene” in which you would like to join and contribute or you are indifferent about it?
Our sound is heavy, dark and psychedelic, but we think that we are close to Doom, Heavy/Stoner Rock, ‘’scene’’!

How do you imagine that the band will be in ten years from now?
Heavy metal till death!

Which famous artist you would like to do a guest to a record of yours and why?
King Diamond, because… he is ''The King'', hehehe!

What plans do you have for the near future?
Our first full-length album which is in progress and some gigs.
