[Suggestion] Citrus Blossom - Eyes Filled with Apathy

Citrus Blossom is a power trio from Thessaloniki, Greece dedicated to high energy rock ‘n’ roll, and "Eyes Filled With Apathy” is their debut EP. This release, in its totality refers to the consequences of ignoring the sociopolitical problems and the violation of human rights, either near you or far away. It links apathy to guilt and underlines that this ignorance that dried out the lives of billions, will someday dry out our luck too and put us in the same position as the persecuted of this world.

Feeding off the endless need to share inspiration, ideas and tunes, Citrus Blossom have been a cog in the never-ending machine that rock'n'roll is, since 2017. From the very beginning the goal was to showcase original compositions onstage and right after the band’s line-up was stable at the spring of 2018, the wheels were set in motion. Cruising through a high energy, groovy rock and keeping the raw essence a trio always pulls off, they have managed to assemble a number of songs tailor-made to be played in front of a crowd. The variety of influences has always contributed to a creative mixture of sounds, as would account for a setting of solid drums alongside with a scent of traditional Greek music in the vocal / guitar delivery and melodic bass lines infused in a funky jazz atmosphere. Through evolving improvisation and a pallet of anti-militarist and sociopolitical lyrics addressing the world’s inequalities, the struggle of immigration and the horrors of war, the 5 tracks on the “Eyes Filled With Apathy” EP demonstrate Citrus Blossom as a young and hungry band, ready to take on the world (thus mapping a collaboration with A Map Constellation booking agency), spread their message to as many minds and hearts possible with an uncompromised and soulful, melodic edge.
