This year was definitely a rich one for the retro/vintage rock wave. A lot of really good releases saw the light. Graveyard, Captain Crimson, Orcus Chylde, Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell and Kadavar - just to name few - released some fine records. But Dryasdust came as a surprise to me. Couple of days ago I was taking a look in my mails and I found one from this Finish trio about their demo. From the first listening it hooked me up pretty hard. First of all the sound quality has nothing to do with a demo release. Their sound is balanced, strong and mild. Their music is heavy, vibrant, full of soul and it's got the blues... Their first release is something you owe to check out. And I'm sure that even bigger and better things will come from these guys. Keep an eye on this new potent kick-ass band. Get over their bandcamp and grab a digital copy by paying anything you want.
