This is the second release by the Finnish from Tampere. The first one was released in 2014 under the title "Erkale" and it firstly introduced us to the strange sounds of "Atomikylä".
For those unfamiliar with the band: Atomikyla is formed by Vesa Ajomo and Jukka Rämänen of Dark Buddha Rising and Toni Hietamäki and Juho Vanhanen of Oranssi Pazuzu.
In "Keräily" their very distinctive, particular style that blends psychedelia, groovy tunes, doom-drone and black metal is still present as in their debut and goes one step further in experimentation by embedding new ideas and playing with different "moods". It is although kind of strange how the coldness of black metal is bonded together with the more warm psychedelic and groovy tunes and that's one of the many interestingly strange things about Atomikylä's style.
The release is consisted of three tracks with total duration of 34 minutes.
If you want to listen to something different, something that will "bake your noodle" trying to categorize the many stylistic approaches and music genres mixed in this release then you just have to click play and enjoy the ride.
P.S.: you can catch Atomikylä live on the Roskilde Festival (Denmark) [24 June - 1 July]
